ABOUT THE PROJECT
Sometimes spaces can resemble people. These lost and forgotton locations represent corners that we have within ourselves that are waiting to be visited. Waiting for the light to flood the darkness, and bring a piercing awareness of something messy and buried, ready to be transformed into something beautiful.

This project is a visual representation of something deep and true. To me, it feels like unearthing things that need to be seen and felt. I am shining my flashlight on the darkness of abandonment and loss and with it creating something visually stunning.
​
I hope to show that there is ALWAYS hope. Always light to be found, and healing available to those who search the far back corners of the self.
​
The work of this project is to heal myself through creation and to help those who are ready to face a similiar journey with visual beauty, contrast, and of course.....ADVENTURE!

I hope this work visually delights you and offers you an alternate perspective on all things abandoned. So many creators in this arena focus on the darkness and decay.....Me?

ABOUT THE TEAM
Jordan Leigh
Hey fellow adventure lovers! I am the founder and creator of this project! This public launch of "The Beautiful Ruin Project" has been 10 years in the making! Along with my team, we are finally making this project a full time venture. I can't wait to share it with you!
Savannah Wilson
I am the photo intern and all around assistant for the Project! From taking Behind The Scene photos, to assisting the models getting ready, I do a little bit of everything to make the project run smoothly!
Phil Wilson
I'm the videography intern! My wife Savannah and I are building our photo and video skills while creating in these unique locations!
